    Audio Conference Services

Dalhousie University has a preferred provider for audio conferencing services. With this service no reservations are required, it is available at any time and you only pay for your actual usage. 

Your account can be managed via the web and this service is directly billed to your Dalhousie P-Card. 

To take advantage of these new rates you must set up your conferencing account with the provider.

  FORWARDING YOUR PHONE DIRECT TO VOICE MAIL

  • Multiline Display Phone (8 or 16 button):  With the receiver in the cradle, press your "Call Fwd" button.   Enter 94751929 and press "Call Fwd" button again.
  • Standard Single Line Non-Display phone (6 programmable buttons):  Lift the receiver and wait for the dial tone (the dial tone will continue during the programming).  Press "SAVE" button.  Press the memory key assigned for "messages" or "vmail", or select a new button.  Enter 94751929, press "SAVE".

This service will be available at $0 cost per month and with no set up fees. Requires a phone line with voicemail and a valid email account.

    Voicemail-to-Email setup instructions   

 

Voicemail-to-Email lets you receive a copy of your voicemail message on up to three email inboxes, allowing you to stay connected and never miss a message.  

 

This free service is available for any Dalhousie University number with voicemail and a valid email account. This service is also available to Bell Aliant residential customers with voicemail and any valid email address.

 

1. Getting started

You can access your voicemail online from Bell Aliant's web site, just click on link below.

 (NOTE Safari and Google Chrome NOT supported)

  • Enter your 10-digit telephone number
    (3-digit area code plus your 7-digit phone number)
    and your voicemail password.
  • First time activations of this service will require you to complete three setup security questions.
  • The system will then send you to Bell Aliant’s main Voicemail to Email page
  • You will now need to click on options.
  • You will be defaulted to the "None" notification option.
  • Click on the Voicemail-to-Email notification option.
  • Select one of the three delivery options.... Suggestion, option 3 “Forward to email and leave marked unread” is the most popular option.
  • Enter up to three email addresses in which you would like to receive your voicemail messages, and then click save.

2. Confirm that you are receiving your voicemail to emails in your email inbox

 

Please send yourself a voicemail and ensure that it is delivered to your inbox.

 

 

3. Managing your voicemail online

 

Once your Voicemail to Email account has been set up you can:

  • Review, create, reply and forward voicemail messages
  • Manage personal and group distribution lists
  • Change voicemail options - greetings, PIN number etc.
