Bb stands for Blackboard. It is the name of the vendor which provides our online Learning Content Management System. To use Bb, you need a username and password.
Several years ago we adopted the term NetID as an alternative to the word username. Every student, faculty member, and staff member is provided with a NetID and initial password.
Your NetID is used to login to on-campus computer labs, My.Dal, OWL, and various other Dalhousie computing services. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with a single signon so in the future you will only need to login once and every service is available through a click of a single button.
If you need to know more about your NetID, visit the UCIS web page titled Getting Started with your Dalhousie NetID. Note: Although the login screen indicates you can get help if your forget your password, that does not apply if you have a genuine NetID.
For those individuals who are not a student, faculty member, staff, or alumni, guest accounts can be arranged. For more information contact the ILO Team at email@example.com or (902) 494-3456.
Some courses/communities use browser plug-ins. Although most Browsers automatically download and install Plug-ins as needed, we have posted a summary as it appears on the BLS Browser Tune-up page provided by the vendor.
