Emergency Communications

During an emergency, Dalhousie may use several methods to alert our community of potential dangers. Please take note of the following methods that we may use during an event.

Available to the public:

Telephone switchboard - 494-2211 Operator and voice mail
Dalhousie Website - www.dal.ca - Alert on lower right of main page
Media - radio, television - All media are alerted of emergency status

Students and employees only:

My Dal - my.dal.ca - Message on Announcments channel
Email - Sent to all students and employees
Text Messaging - Sent to all registered mobile phones
Digital Signage (on campus only) - Various locations
Alert popups (on campus computers) - Message pops up on monitor
